ADFLEX WAM FR: Has been specifically formulated with reinforcing fibres within the product thereby eliminating the need for additional reinforcing materials such as fibreglass and polyester matting, however, it is recommended that REO-BAND still be used at critical interface areas between walls and floor and at vertical corners.

PREPARATION: Surfaces must be dry, clean, sound and free of oil, grease and loose materials.

PRIMING: Walls and floors should be primed with Tru Bond using either a brush or roller.  Plasterboard surfaces do not require priming except where jointing compounds have been used.  Depending on weather conditions primer will be touch dry in about 15 minutes.  Coverage is approximately 6-10m² per litre, depending on surface porosity.

CONCRETE: Allow four weeks for curing.

CEMENT RENDER: Two weeks curing required.

FIBRE CEMENT & PLASTERBOARD: Must be suitable for wet area and fastened in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Uses:-

ADFLEX WAM FR APPLICATION: Most critical areas are the interfaces between walls and floor and at vertical corners.  Use ADFLEX WAM FR with REO-BAND and bond breaker to achieve the following:-

1. covering areas between walls and floors.
2. the corner between the shower hob and floor.
3. vertical corners in showers where tiles are to be fixed.
4. floor cracks and joints between sheet flooring.

To prepared surfaces apply only one coat of ADFLEX WAM FR with a brush or roller over the whole area to be tiled.  In areas treated with a bond breaker and around waste outlets, pipes and vents, apply REO-BAND onto the ADFLEX WAM FR bedding it in two directions to ensure that no air bubbles remain.  Cover with a second coat of ADFLEX WAM FR.
